Hi friends of Wayne UNICO!
We would like to extend a thank you to everyone that attended our annual Fundraising Dinner. It was a great success – thank you for all of your generosity! Be on the lookout for our members at local shopping centers – we are asking for your donations to help us continue our fundraising efforts to help those in need within our community of Wayne, NJ.
Once again this past Memorial Day, Wayne UNICO proudly marched in honor of those who have given their lives in our Armed Forces. We humbly salute you and your family’s sacrifice and offer our thoughts on behalf of Wayne UNICO.
Although it seems a way off, our Golf Outing in September will be here before you know it. This year’s golf outing will be held at Crystal Springs on Wednesday, September 19th. For $160 a golfer, you get breakfast, lunch and dinner, plus your golf greens fees as well as cart fees. Crystal Springs is a great course, so please consider joining us. More information is available, including events for those of you that do not golf.
As of this writing, we will have given out our two Scholarships to local students. Each year we have been providing scholarships to students at both Wayne Valley High School and Wayne Hills High School. This year’s recipients were announced at their respective school ceremonies in June. We congratulate Lorenzo Cinelli from Wayne Hills High School, and Malina Hubinger from Wayne Valley High School. Congratulations on behalf of Wayne UNICO!
Coming up later in the year is our 2nd annual Car Show…last year was a great event, and we expect to have a lot more cars entered into the show. Like last year, we will be hosting this in front of the Wayne Township Municipal Building, located at 475 Valley Road in Wayne, NJ. Check back soon for more details.
