Hello again, friends of Wayne UNICO. Here’s a quick update from our February 2019 monthly meeting.
Although it’s a few months away, please save the date for the following events:
Wayne UNICO Car Show – Sunday, September 8th at the Wayne Municipal Building
Wayne UNICO Golf Outing – Monday, September 16th at Black Bear Golf Course
More details will be shared as we get closer, but please consider adding these events to your calendar and joining us. Our chapter is growing, we recently had several new members join us, and are always looking for more individuals interested in becoming part of an Italian-American Service organization. Our members donate their time to help our local community of Wayne, NJ, as well as many causes outside Wayne.
Many of you know about our Scholarships, each year we provide two scholarships, one to a graduating Senior at Wayne Valley High School, as well as another one to a graduating Senior at Wayne Hills High School. We have been very active in our donations on behalf of the Wayne Interfaith Food Pantry, JDRF, local families in need of assistance, and lots of other causes. We also manage to find some time to have fun! We recently hosted a trip to Atlantic City, we host a Golf Outing each year, Dinner/Dances, and our famous Halloween Party.
Please consider stopping by one of our meetings, we recently changed the date, we will be meeting the first Wednesday of each month at 7:15 pm at Anthony Franco’s Pizza on Hamburg Turnpike in Wayne.
